We’re here when you need urgent care.
If you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, contact your primary care doctor, who will recommend the best next step for you. More about COVID-19.
At Sharp HealthCare, we’ll safely get you the care you need at our urgent care centers throughout San Diego County.
We’re taking extra precautions to keep you and our care teams safe — including special check-in procedures, regular cleaning, and separating patients in waiting and treatment areas.
Find an urgent care in your network.
Sharp works with many different health plans and insurance providers, and coverage for urgent care varies depending on your plan. If you’re not part of a Sharp medical group, your insurance provider can help you learn where to go for urgent care services.

If you're a Sharp Rees-Stealy member or see a Sharp Rees-Stealy primary care doctor under a contracted HMO plan, services provided outside of Sharp Rees-Stealy are not covered unless approved in advance. Unless your health plan offers other options, only Sharp Rees-Stealy Urgent Care Centers are in your network.

Not sure where to go?
In most cases, calling your doctor's office is your best first step when you have cold symptoms, a question about a chronic health problem or you're just not sure where to go.
If you are having a medical emergency, don’t delay your care. Call 911 or go to the nearest Sharp emergency room if you are experiencing a life- or limb-threatening emergency.
If you still have questions, call us at 1-800-82-SHARP (1-800-827-4277), Monday through Friday, 7 am to 7 pm.
Can I go to urgent care if I'm experiencing COVID-19 symptoms or need a COVID-19 test?
To preserve care for those who need it the most, Sharp and other health care organizations are currently limiting COVID-19 testing to individuals at greatest risk for serious illness — people with underlying medical conditions including pregnancy, as well as individuals 65 and older and their caregivers. Please contact us to speak to a triage nurse, schedule a virtual urgent care visit or send a message to your doctor.
If you are between the ages of 16 to 64 and experiencing mild symptoms, assume you have COVID-19 and take all necessary precautions. Please consult community resources including 211sandiego.org. Home tests may be available online or in stores. A positive home test should be assumed to be accurate and does not need to be confirmed with a test at Sharp or other community resources.
For children with symptoms, please contact your Sharp physician. If your child has been exposed but is not experiencing symptoms, follow their school district’s directions regarding testing.
If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or visit the nearest emergency room.
