Safe Medications While Breastfeeding
Few things rival the bonding that happens during breastfeeding — or the benefits your baby receives. But knowing which medications are safe to take while nursing can be a daunting experience. The following over-the-counter medications are considered safe, but since nothing is 100 percent guaranteed, be sure to check with your doctor before taking them. Always follow the instructions on the label carefully, continue to feed your baby and get plenty of fluids.
And remember, when it comes to breastfeeding, you’re not alone. Our lactation consultants are specialized, compassionate and ready to help you. Call the New Beginnings Boutique and Gift Shop for a referral at 858-939-4127.
