OBGYN, Pregnancy and Childbirth Care
Postpartum Care
Bringing home baby means lots of changes — and we’re not just talking diapers. The first 12 weeks after a baby is born, known as the “fourth trimester,” is a crucial time that involves navigating everything from infant care and sleep to mood swings, physical recovery and relationship changes.
During this special time, Sharp HealthCare is here for you.

Your mental health
Feeling off? The changes you experience during pregnancy and after delivery can cause feelings of sadness, loneliness and loss of identity. Hormones take time to regulate after childbirth, and your well-being is just as important as baby’s. Postpartum mood disorders affect up to twenty percent of new mothers.
Join a support group
You are not alone. Connect with others on the postpartum journey by joining any of our support groups. Everyone is welcome, whether or not you delivered at a Sharp hospital.
