Ear, Nose and Throat
San Diego Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT)
Your quality of life is our top priority.
Your senses are vital to living your life — whether through sight, sound, smell or voice. Through our otolaryngology care — treatment of ears, nose and throat (also known as ENT), including head and neck — we can help you get back to your daily life and the things you love.
Whether you face a balance disorder and dizziness, hearing loss, allergies or other sinus-related conditions, you can count on us as your partner in recovery. Our expert surgeons perform facial and reconstructive surgery, transoral robotic surgery for tumors of the mouth and throat and balloon sinuplasty™ for sinusitis treatment.
Because we want to keep you on your game, we offer early detection screenings and health education classes. We want you healthy and happy — it's our goal.
And through our convenient Find a Doctor tool, we make choosing the right otolaryngologist easy.

Balloon sinuplasty
This surgical option provides patients with a safe, minimally invasive way to find relief from sinusitis. As a minimally invasive surgery, balloon sinuplasty™ is performed using soft, flexible balloons so there is no cutting or removal or bone or tissue.
Balloon sinuplasty offers a faster recovery, less pain and less blood loss than traditional surgery and is performed as an outpatient procedure.
If you have been diagnosed with chronic sinusitis and are not responding to medication treatment, you may be a candidate for balloon sinuplasty. You and your doctor should discuss your medical history, potential risks and other factors to determine if this procedure is right for you.
Nasal and sinus surgery
Sharp HealthCare offers a variety of nasal and sinus surgical options to treat common conditions such as deviated septum, turbinate hypertrophy and chronic sinusitis. Surgical options includes balloon sinuplasty, endoscopic sinus surgery, nasal valve surgery, rhinoplasty, septoplasty and turbinate surgery.
Skull base surgery
The primary goal of skull base surgery is to preserve function, provide optimal reconstruction and to rehabilitate and improve the patient's life when affected by skull-based diseases.
Transoral robotic surgery
Transoral robotic surgery (TORS) treats oral tumors, both cancerous and noncancerous, which can occur in any part of the oral cavity, including the tongue, cheeks, floor of the mouth, hard and soft palate and throat. TORS is an effective method of treating oral tumors by using minimally invasive robotic surgery techniques to remove tumors of the mouth and throat.
Turbinate surgery
Nasal turbinates — also known as turbinate hypertrophy — are a common source of airflow blockage, and can be reduced via surgery such as radiofrequency inferior turbinate reduction and submucous resection of the inferior turbinates.
